  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Roma have submitted an offer of €27m (£23m/$31m) plus €3m in bonuses for Rios, edging closer to Palmeiras’ €30m asking price, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Rios, who has a €100m (£86m/$117m) release clause at Palmeiras, had Italian side Inter interested in signing him in case Hakan Calhanoglu left to join Galatasaray but the midfielder has decided to stay back at Inter.
